Research interest:

In autumn 2010 I finished my diploma thesis at the Institute for Evolutionary Biology and Ecology. I worked with the cichlid Pelvicachromis taeniatus and studied kin recognition mechanism in juveniles of this species.

In my PhD thesis I will focus on the effects of kinship and inbreeding on social behaviour in our model system P. taeniatus. Particularly, I am interested in the influence of relatedness on cooperation in juvenile and adult fish of these species. This project is conducted in collaboration with Dr. Timo Thünken.
