Research interest

I am an OEP-Biology Master's student, working on the topic of personality and mate choice in female threespine sticklebacks (Gasterosteus aculeatus) under the direction of Dr. Ingolf Rick. By evaluating boldness and associative and reversal learning, I hope to find a behavioral syndrome with shy females learning associative tasks slower but learning faster when the task is reversed than bold individuals. Furthermore, I hope to find either a difference in choosiness or a difference in preference for a trait (male redness) between bold and shy females when testing mate choice.
